Rose Quartz & Serenity – Designed to help unwindAs we know, jewelry designers look to fashion when designing a new line. Jewelry is the ultimate accessory and with 2016 the runway consists of softer, comforting tones. Rose Quartz is a perfect compliment to my copper jewelry line. Along with rose quartz, sky blue Serenity will be dominate. These colors can transport us to a calmer and happier sense of being. Consider adding copper to your jewelry line this year because of its warming glow. It will help you to breathe, reflect, and play.
Along with your new year’s resolutions, yes, I’m assuming you make resolutions, think about what in your jewelry arsenal reflects the real you. Take inventory of yourself. This means asking those hard questions: What do I really like? Do I wear things just because (someone gave it to me or it was on sale)? What changes can I make on the outside to reflect more of what I am inside? Answering honestly will guide you toward what your intention is for this new year. There is no better time than now to try new things that you are drawn to. Let others know how confident, bold and strong you are. Adding just a pinch of a cuff ring may delight you and bring out your sparkle. Going beyond the financial questions and delving into who YOU are will give you a better perspective and guide you toward purchases that REALLY matter. This year is all about YOU!
Sterling Silver, Copper and Bronze are very forgiving metal. Starting with the different metal sheets, my jewelry process includes hammering, pickling, annealing and adding texture. This "work hardens" the metal. I generally use 18 to 20 gauge copper for cuffs.
Generally speaking, sizing for women's bracelets usually are: Small wrists (6 to 6 1/2 inches); Medium wrists (6 1/2 to 7 1/4 inches), and Large Wrists (over 7 1/4 inches). As a general rule, I design my cuffs for an average Women's size which is 6 3/4 to 7 1/4 inches.
